She obtained a Doctorate in Diabetes Medicine in 2008 from the University of Leicester and has been an NHS medical consultant specialising in Diabetes and Endocrinology since 2007.  She currently works as a consultant in community diabetes in North London. Previously, she has worked for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicester Diabetes Centre, and Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust. She has considerable expertise and experience in clinical healthcare, diabetes and healthy living and lifestyle research, and medical and diabetes education. She has also worked as a Medical Director for Abbott Laboratories and Xyla Health and Wellbeing. She is the CEO and founder of HAPPYHEALTHIER LIMITED. She is passionate about empowering people to get healthier, reach lifestyle goals and reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, some cancers, dementia and a shortened life expectancy.
